ULTRASOUND COURSES

Our clinical ultrasound modules provide a structured approach to bedside ultrasound, equipping learners with the essential skills to perform system-based examinations with confidence. These modules cover key applications in cardiac, vascular, pulmonary, and gastric ultrasound, helping clinicians distinguish between normal and abnormal findings.

Through these modules, you will learn to assess ventricular function and cardiac valves, identify pleural motion abnormalities and pneumothorax, recognize intra-abdominal fluid collections, and perform ultrasound-guided bladder and gastric assessments.

Designed for both beginners and advanced users, these interactive modules integrate qualitative and quantitative aspects of ultrasound, enhancing diagnostic accuracy and clinical decision-making.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Review core ultrasound principles: Introduce key concepts in ultrasound physics and demonstrate proper probe handling techniques.
  • Understand clinical indications: Identify appropriate scenarios for ultrasound application.
  • Improve image acquisition and optimization: Develop skills to obtain high-quality images and optimize them for accurate interpretation.
  • Perform system-based ultrasound exams:Train in conducting focused, system-based ultrasound assessments.
  • Apply rapid ultrasound protocols in emergencies:Learn to utilize fast, structured ultrasound protocols during critical and emergent situations.

AIM: To develop proficiency in anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals in performing basic ultrasound examinations.
